The Byte Club ("we", "us") operates thebyteclub.net, a community marketplace for PC parts in Kuwait. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We built this platform to be minimal with data: we collect only what is needed to run a marketplace and community forum. We never sell your personal information.

• Account data: your email address and display name when you create an account. Your email is never shown to other members.
• Listing data: the titles, descriptions, prices, images, location, and contact phone number you choose to publish in a listing. Contact details in listings are visible by design — that is how buyers reach sellers.
• Community content: discussions, replies, and likes you post.
• Local storage: your browser stores a "recently viewed" list and your sign-in session. This never leaves your device except for authentication.

Account data is used for authentication and to display your name next to your listings and forum posts. Listing and community content is displayed publicly as intended. We do not send marketing emails.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in — nothing more. The site displays a small number of sponsorship banners sold directly to relevant advertisers (for example, Kuwait PC shops). These are plain images served from our own domain: they involve no third-party ad networks, no tracking cookies, and no behavioral profiling. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security. Sensitive profile fields such as email addresses are not readable through the public API. Deleting your account removes your profile, listings, and forum content.
