Trading Safely

The Byte Club connects builders directly — deals happen between you. Keep them clean with a few habits.

Meeting up

  • Meet in a public place — coffee shops, malls, and co-op parking lots during the day are ideal.
  • Bring a friend for high-value trades, and let someone know where you're going.
  • Daylight deals are easier to inspect hardware in; ask for photos before meeting anyway.

Before you pay

  • Test before you pay: ask the seller to power on GPUs, run a health check on SSDs, and show CPU-Z/GPU-Z screenshots for verification.
  • Cash on collection is the norm in Kuwait. Never send money in advance to someone you haven't met.
  • If a price is too good to be true, it is. Walk away.
  • Check the seller's profile — completed sales and member-since date are good signals.

Never do these

  • Never share one-time passwords (OTPs) or verification codes with anyone, even if they claim to be from a delivery service or bank.
  • Never wire transfers or use irreversible payment apps for goods you haven't received.
  • Never continue a deal that moved to a suspicious link or asked for your account credentials.

If something goes wrong
